Hi Collins. You're up and running! The website is done, the first newsletter goes out this week and, most exciting of all, the kids are living in their new home. Guess what happened today. I was at a thrift store picking up some things for the kids. A woman commented on all the stuff in my basket and I told her it was for my 30 kids in Africa. Shortly after that, I heard someone say "excuse me". I turned around and saw this man who was carrying an oxygen tank for breathing and, was accompanied by a developmentally disabled young man. He said: "I heard you tell that woman you were helping children in Africa. This is for them". He handed me $5.00! Here's this man who evidently has huge problems of his own to deal with, doesn't even know me, yet hands me money for those children. I cry every time I think about it! I'm going to put the money into two frames...one for you and one for me. We can use these as a reminder of the incredible kindness, beauty and generosity that lies in the human heart. That reminder should keep us going throughout this journey called SWIWSCO. Love to you and my kazuri watoto. Sue

Sue, I love it! It's very well done, although I'm not exactly the authority on website making.. You're doing so much it's so great. And guess what!! I'm quite sure I'm going to do camp America next year inwhich case I hope you wont mind a visitor! Going to try make it back to Moshi on the way as well if I have the money. Can't wait! I miss the kids so much!

I just wanted to let you know I have visited the new home, it is fantastic! You must be so pleased. It truly feels like a home. There is so much room for the children to play and plenty of storage. The new home will make the orphanage more sustainable as they are now able to get all their fruit and vegetables from the garden. They are going to save considerable amounts on their food bills each month. I wish you could see the kid’s faces, I have never seen them happier!
You can rest assured; all your boxes have arrived. I trust Collins completely; his heart and soul are in the orphanage.
Congratulations on what you have already achieved, you have made a real difference in the lives of these children.

Hey, me and marie volunteered with the swiwsco children for a month in october 2009! all of the children are amazing and so happy. We saw them move from the old orphanage to the new one and it was such a lovely time to be there and see it all happen! very exciting! We really do hope to fly out again soon and come back to work with the kids. Until then your all doing a wonderful job and they really are great children.

Hi guys,

This website is brilliant, I came out last year and worked with the kids in your orphange, they are such stars and definitely need as much support as they can get! I think you're all doing a great job and I will try to donate as much as I can whenever I can. Brilliant work though :)

I feel like I am getting to know Collins and the kids through all your pictures and stories! Looks like a wonderful place! The concept/mission is very similiar to the NGO we volunteered at in India - and I think SWISCO is off to a good start. Joe says you are coming home on Monday - have a good trip and see you when you wake up from jetlag. from Karin and Kira!

Hi All

The website is amazing, I can't believe how much has been achieved in such a short space of time, you're all truely amazing.

I will let you know how the parachute jump goes later this month and hopefully how much I've managed to raise. This money will be split equally between SWIWSCO and the other project I worked on in Keyna.
